Fire or IceA Poem by Invisible Ink...sands burnt my feet every step a rattlesnake recoiled and waiting for just the right time to strike my over-cooked remains the suns i once longed for shook their poisonous tail lay me to waste and baked me blind wind watering eyes icicles on fingertips when the cold froze my insides like the fish in the deep freeze waiting to be eaten down to the bone creating the bare space in between the ribs of the spine in the heat and in the cold survive somewhere rising up from a rock a tiny seed, or a parachute blown with a wish and falling, whereever it falls and it does it in the same way © 2021 Invisible InkReviews
