Soft and Sweet

Soft and Sweet

A Poem by Invisible Ink
"

...

"
I walked into the room
wearing nothing
but my innocence,
wrapped about me
like a shield,
the color of rain
glowing in the
afternoon sun,
my hand covering
my mouth
I could not speak,
but in my head
your songs
lingered like some
forgotten echo
that moved down
my spine
soft and sweet
and melted
my frozen feet
so I stepped
out of myself
and into your
wet, glistening
memory
