As Winter FadesA Poem by CraizzeWrote this a month or so ago.As winter fades I hear the sparks of spring in the air I see the trails of paws in the soft snow I smell cold breezes against my face I feel my sorrow fading I hear the snow drip off the trees I see ice melting by the sun’s rays I smell raw branches and bushes I feel sparks of spring in me As winter fades I will soon hear small animals arriving at my doorsteps I will soon see holes of small animals all around me I will soon smell grass and pine Will soon feel the sun enveloping me in its warmth I will soon hear bees begin their great adventures I will soon see flowers blossoming and reaching for our hands I will soon smell the first flowers of spring I will soon feel perfect bliss As winter fades I bask in winter’s final whispers I watch the trees and hills bare of snow I make my last snow sculptures and angels I sit and watch the snow sparkling I will soon ride my bicycle in the fresh breeze I will soon walk with Nature in Her trails I will soon create images and drawings with chalk on the pavement I will soon be relaxing outside amongst singing birds As winter fades © 2010 Craizze |
