Fade to Grey

poem about my ex of two years

I can't believe it's over

a horror I can not grasp

 

they say there's other fish in the sea

but I am in a puddle

 

I wish not to live this life

with all this pain and misery

 

pictures I hold close to my heart

shall never fade to grey

 

how can one get over this

when they choose to self destruct

 

I'm lacking my usual enthusiasm

so please forgive me of just this

for I feel I will fade to black

 

so confused, so distraught

as the picture falls to the floor

 

this pain is like no other

this pain I cannot bare

 

life is cruel and unusual

some say I'm unusual and he cruel

shouldn't we be together?

I reall ylike this, the whole thing is dripping with pain and emotion. It's a very well done piece, sure it could use some editting, but anyone can edit, it takes someone truely amazing to write this type of thing, a poem from the soul. I love it
