Father

What was loved is lost, but what was lost will always be loved.

You left me all alone

with a pain I cannot bare

 

now I'm faced with depression

and thoughts of suicide

 

its been five years since your death of cancer

and five years I've suffered a young girl without a father

 

home was rough

but rough you made home

 

things left unsaid and undone

but I know you love me dearely

and you know I love you dearly

 

one day we shall have our father-daughter dance

in a world of everlasting charishment

 

I may never understand why God took you away

but I'm sure the lesson has been learned

things will come and things will go

so charish what you have until its gone.
