She Thinks I Sleep...

She Thinks I Sleep...

A Poem by Craig

She thinks I sleep...

I do,

But I slumber lightly,

with sleepy,

dreamy eyes,

I stir awake...

To watch her at peace,

enthralled in the dreams

of the angels.

She thinks I sleep...

I do,

But my heart beats restless,

keeping me awake,

a quiet guardian to keep her

desires safe as she slumbers.

For this tranquility,

I stay awake,

silently loving her as she

sleeps...

This is such a beautiful, tender loving, finding you entranced by her life, her peace, her sacred rest. So much love floods every line. Beautifully profound.
