Bittersweet Kisses

Bittersweet Kisses

A Poem by Craig

The taste of your lips sting me,

where it once invigorated me.

That sweetness,

I thought to be love,

has turned sour,

spoiling the hint of love.

Your kisses have turned cold,

bitter,

repulsing my heart,

poisoning me to the core.

Is this what they mean by

"bittersweet"?

I do not know...

But I know there lies more

bitter within you,

than there is the sweet.

This is nicely done and flows so well. It's something that many of us can relate to well. You captured that ending of a relationship that once was so good, as it dies.

P.S.Check the typo in last sentence. Should be "than" I think.
