Prison Walls

Prison Walls

A Poem by Craig John Edwards
"

The cage within us all

"
Prison Walls
-

This silent man behind his prison wall

Nothing is said and nothing comes out.

He begs, he cry's, and howls at us all

Hoping someone will hear him.

Never answering the call

Absence on his face, anguish in his eyes.

He's mind is a constant brawl

No release from his cage.

Forever alone in this Purgatory

He's mind he will continue to waul.

For him there's no peace of mind

Behind his prison wall.
