Just A Dream

Just A Dream

A Poem by cquig

Still so fresh in my mind

I’ll hold it as long as I can

Your penetrating gaze

As if you truly knew me

Hands so warm upon my waist

Your dark blue t-shirt, so soft under my touch

Masculine lips take mine so gently

I suck in air as my entire body tingles

Again held fast by those deep blue eyes

So many promises and so many tears

I wish I could wipe away the sadness

We are here only for each other

The world does not exist beyond us

Again our lips meet, I will never forget

We speak aloud, those words I do not remember

What is spoken in our sight will stay with me forever
