Let Me BeA Poem by cquigA peom of frustration
Getting ready to hide away from the world again I get like this now and then When life brings me nothing but screwed up sorrow I don’t even want to greet tomorrow “Come on, smile, it’s not that bad!” Thoughts of crushing your face, an alibi that’s ironclad Leave me alone in my misery, just let me be I wouldn’t ask you along to oversee, what I see A moment is all that I ask A moment of solitude a moment to bask I do not ask you to embrace the pain I’m not covering your face with cellophane Silence! I so desperately seek When the world seems to me, bleak Take your cheer where it is sought Allow me to be just, an afterthought 2009 © 2009 cquigAuthor's Note
