Bad Folks

Bad Folks

A Poem by Charles Phifer

I listen to the radio and watch the television.

I leave the door open and let the flies come in.

I kick up the dirt but it goes in my eyes.

I reason with people but most don’t want to hear it.

I use the dishwasher and hand-wash my jeans.

I yell at my brother and tell him to clean.

I play a game and it tells me about the idiots of a bygone generation destroying the Earth.

 And I think

 those f*****g bygones.
