Sleep and Sigh (Thoughts on wanting to express things)

Sleep and Sigh (Thoughts on wanting to express things)

A Poem by Oydrin
"

An expression of wanting to express love, and experiencing insomnia

"
I.

The need for sleep can sometimes be a burden
For timely and upon a nightly sigh,
Come lonely dreams, and come the dreams the sweetest,
That let me upon lofty feelings fly

As such, that things are much more real than touch
The places that I long for, I am there
Whence in the hours of simply laying much
The chance of simply being everywhere

So free of lamentations does one fare
Oh, limitless! Oh, boundless entity!
Where neither God nor demons give a care;
The art of letting go and letting be

Oh, thrive myself, but most of all you see
Oh, free to love and mine be loved by me;
And limits that this body often lay,
The tipping point beyond equality

The feeble flesh, it's glo-ri-ous cliche
Against that love, and being loved by me
Where I could match myself, and go beyond
The limits that'r presently binding me!

II.

Creation, though it loves to complement
It only favors that which ever does
And all in which its current goes against
Indifferently, it returns to dust

And such is waking when the daytime comes
Oh, how my dreams come contrast with my sleep!
That even while this song is not unsung
My spirit simply could not let it be.

Whenever can I find the proper time
That both us will find satisfactory
That my love would be free to state itself,
And my love would be satisfied by me?

If never in this lifetime, be it so
There isn't much a choice for vessel'd ones
Our bodies are as cages and machines -
Controlled to some extents, but none too far; that

While I can liberate me with my flesh,
I know that much within me, I am trapped,
In this temporary office of my soul,
I know that much within me, some is all

III.

But know, I never loved with any part,
Of this cliched vessel, other than my heart
And whatever flowed beneath had only spoke
Whatever feeling mine own heart did soak

And sigh, in waking, though not thankless, I,
Though frequent lonely can this man's heart be
For the face and name in it still changes nigh,
And will not deny that there is none but she
