Salvage

Salvage

A Poem by Oydrin

A hero and a killer have the same vocabulary
The word salvage being a favorite of both,

It is salvation to the former and destruction
beyond recognition to the latter,

a spectator cannot help but grieve for a violated being
but celebrate for a purified soul

The word salvage, recurring in heroes and villains
A beginning and end of a pugnacious spectrum

A law promulgated and loved by outlaws
Strictly adhered to by the edge of reason

The burning cause of a silent rebellion, screaming"

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that

THIS

is what desperation does to a person
