The Heart of a BookwormA Poem by Oydrin
I leave to books the task of answering
Questions that I never ask And poetry to questions that I do, For it would take a madman To read things that are not worth his time And it would take me to write about you Some dreams are made for elegies But you deserve sweet love songs That's a thing I don't deny when things are awry; So let this be the page that I tear straight out of my heart That you may finally make sense of my lone story I turn some pages as you leave For things that you are to achieve But things aren't getting easier as you go; For heaven seems too deaf to me So I'll just make some comedies To laugh and weep when time permits me so. © 2016 Oydrin |
