A room I will never know

A room I will never know

A Poem by Jose Rivera
"

I dunno, just randomly sat down and wrote it one night after not being able to sleep. First time sharing a poem, and first time writing in a very long time.

"

I am running down a dark hallway,

Towards the light of the unknown.

My heart is racing crazily,

My legs can carry me no more.

Sweat drips down my face,

Fear begins to show.

I begin to see a room so beautiful,

I am carried by a will so strong.

I look back over my shoulder,

The distance has not grown.

I look forward to the goal,

A room I will never know.

I can entirely relate to this feeling, I love the suspense the tone is palpable. Splendid poetry. Rach x
