A poem, I think, about generations, one yielding to the next, willingly, half-heartedly, reluctantly, one in which a range of attitudes is explored. I like the way the gentle tentative voice suddenly snaps near the end. Pawn it! In the end,finally yielding, it asks only one thing in return.
