Quote 16: "He piled upon the whale's white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart's shell upon it." Chapter 41, pg. 154-155 Moby Dick, Melville.

It is in the dust where the demons of our life - past wait to rise again when the dust settles and enough revenge pulls them out again. There are those who are never able to let the dust stay where it is, but must keep stirring it again and again, blowing hot winds of trouble o'er them. The quote from Moby Dick is perfect - sometimes it is the wrath of a nation that must be healed! The divisions hold the consequences!
Another amazing write Cliff!
"Consequences, Crosses,we will bear,
This worlds divisions."
This piece is poignant. There are realities in life that are difficult to accept but we have to.
Well-penned.
There is sadness and sadness, the giving up of a slice of bread, the surrender of a feast. That's the cruelty and tragedy of life and the hunger we feel along the way. Events occur, words raise their voices, faults recur.. there's so little calm to allow a seat somewhere on the right hand of serenity ..
Your writing raises so many thoughts and emotions.. tears can fall in the process, and do.

Should the second 'yes' in line 7 be 'yet'? Life pounding life into the heart even when we feel totally alone.
A lot of deep thought here and I agree, an acceptance of the crosses we bear and a recognition of the divisions of life. I enjoyed reading this poem.

It starts be rejecting rhythm, a return to life, and looks askance at the staging of an alter as if light and music can provide a consoling meaning. This is an inner journey to an acceptance of the crosses we have to carry and a recognition of the divisions of life that will never be wholly meaningful. Moving and thoughtful, Lee.
acceptance, it is just there... to live, just there. the sunrise, it is just there for us to see. Can we bear it to be just so, or chase in our heads what we wish were instead ? ...Solitude, just there... peace, and living in the accepted moment is what I take from this...
