Welcome Home Muse

Welcome Home Muse

A Poem by lee von cleef

Stepped into the woods....
Waited...
I could feel the weight of the thing....
A wave static prickly skin side up cool shiver ....

Then a warm hollow filled the canyon....
and bright shut my eyes tight......
Crack !
Booming from rim to rim....

Silence again but for one lowly crinkled juniper ..

The mark of God in Lucifer's world,

Welcome Home Muse.......

I've missed her lightning too! She is pure electricity in the Café... One of the best writers here...
I'm so glad she's back...she raises the bar when it comes to poetry, we can all learn from her!
This is a fabulous welcoming tribute to our dear MUSE! I know she's been my muse, many a time. ~xoxo~

Courtney did steal their hearts.
I agree with the sentiment!
Also, I enjoyed the poetry here.
I could almost see her in this picture as well.

Beautifully written ode. I love the words and the imagery, and you obviously have strong feelings about the concept, which is quite delightful. I love the sublime nature of this one, and all of the "earth" imagery used. I'm wondering about the use of all the elipses, they tend to break up the flow a little for me, but that is probably because I read so literally--when I see an elipses, I can't help but take a long pause before the next line. Otherwise, very well done!

on second look they do slow it way down, maybe too much yes.
You have coaxed me into a dream state, with such wonderful descriptions, the arousing feelings, the large rural setting, the gleaming, cryptic mood, all finely polished, great, accomplished writing here Lee!
