WomanA Poem by lee von cleef![]() The transfer of power, you touch it ,you taste it.![]() " Blood and Breath" they pitch a weight, A modern woman's weight, Though now that I've read my words, They pry a window into history, There have been many women whose lives have made them comfortable hard, living blood, living death, Air a portage through their lungs, Heavy they set the canoe down, It is over, they are gone, you are left with feelings, Their paddle, in your hands now, Emotions,a current inside you ebbs flows ,flats,to dark, deep rocks, the black surface had kept hidden, Now without their blood and breath, You are ambushed, The rhododendron bends you backwards, Rakes your heart and their paddle with it, John the last disciple to die ,a human can not exist without hope, They have entered a river of light all around And you alone Afloat, in the shadows of Rapids dark night. © 2012 lee von cleefAuthor's Note
