WRESTLING

WRESTLING

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

Twelve years in motion.

"
Nerves, a handshake, whistle and clash
A pulsating blur of entwined physique
Six minuets of agonizing effort
A swish of hip, thigh, knees and ankles
A rolling momentum halted by a grasp of a hand
Twirling moments of total confusion
Leverage style and finesse.
Muscle guts and brawn
A violent striving , twisting and pulling
Flashes of glory and failure
Giving something from nothing

Then....
A whistle
A handshake
A gift of distinction
A tarnished pride.
