the tip of life

the tip of life

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

The reflection of port in the sunset Eucharist re born

"
the words of strength rang out
the words of heart  rang in
he thrust deep the dagger
greed,steel and flesh,these are true
listen, the words of heart rang in
the soul was fed,the day is new

he thrust deep the dagger again
the soul was fed the day is new
in a quiet mans breath
listen, the words of heart rang in
he dropped his head
he raised his eyes

he wiped the blade, the soul was fed
sinking low on one knee
listen the words of heart rang in
he dropped  his head
he raised his eyes
his soul was fed ,he ate his flesh
drank his blood

tall he stood
gathering purpose to his stride
the point of life on his dagger
his hearts soul rang in
freedom is
captivity for all.

A dry wafer as a slice of flesh and a shot of welches finest saviour blood...sacrifices and prices paid for a man whose knees fail 2 bend since his wife was divinely ignored and a 7 pews of "christians" who church makes them so whereas their garage makes them cars...freedom? An ideal worthy of stones to set in each thorny crown...throe 'em under the bus...."gilt" was golden until I added "u". Much to ponder lee....this is constructive and your skill is the tip and I wonder how deep you shall plunge it?

The flow of this poem is a as soothing as the cadence of great water falls. Your imagery in beautiful, and your words sing until the final period. Thank you for your read request ,Lee.

There is both a vastness and a divine intimacy that you express through this rhythmic, stirring write... Profoundly moving and striking deep into the heart.

The insistent speaker makes a kind of incantatory music to accompany this act of self slaughter. Its religious overtones are suggested by the blood and bread, as if eating the body and drinking the blood of Christ allows the soul's release. While the act is nihilistic, the poem is an exhilarating read. I particularly like the closing paradox, which has all kinds of resonances.

You say life is pungent, and indeed it is!! Your last few lines really get your message across. He was so proud of his deed, made his hearts soul ring!
