Mothers Day -six hundred dead horses

Mothers Day -six hundred dead horses

A Poem by lee von cleef
"

a mid-morning daydream

"
Mother’s day, I have to put together a list;
clean out my Truck
Turn signals ?
Shop- celery, green peppers, cast iron trinity?
Sell my Truck
Tractor
Hitch for RV
Dig post-holes
Shavings, Rocks?
Clean Table in house.
Clean Room,
Pray,
Window tint removal.
Mail conservators report to:?
Dream dream of love
Love of cast -iron dream cannon fodder
Truth of the  light horse ride the six hundred tight together, deep into the valley
deep layers of English cake,
straight sword straight ride on,
Onion,
Waves of darkness. Dark explosions into the reality,
Deafening boiling, sulfur, smoke ,shards of light, turf catapulted dirt and humbling death
one hundred and twenty died but the words drew a picture
Six hundred thundering horses n  hoofs,
Swords straight ,horses dead legs straight
rode into the Crimean valley
into the valley of booming cannon fire
do or die
I take my shirt off,In the grass by the side of
Six hundred ride the six hundred,
Breathe through their souls,
not what we intended,
Breathe with your Soul,
by the side of the road I take my shirt
Off....

Dear God, my friend how this rips the soul apart..........my heart was pounding, my pulse racing as I read down through your list, and the imagery of the 600 thundering horses, hoofs, the dirt flying, the smoke, the sulphur, the glass.....horror, such horror, and then the phrases of ...dream of love, by the side of the road I take off my shirt - THEN I SEE THE PICTURE, AND KNOW your heart is ripped out with the thundering horses, pierced with the glass!! Dear Mother Mary, be with you during this Christmas time, as she was on Mother's Day when you rode those six hundred horses!! It must have been a living hell to visit that site, and put the memorial there, but you did it!!!
You tamed them enough to let you stop for a visit to this place of deep mourning!!
Sweet friend..........my heart feels this as I know this pain!! When my son was killed, I had to drive in the lane where his body had hit when he was thrown from the car - you know, the marks they make on the highway where the victim landed. I thought I had gone to Hell when I drove over it!
This is a remarkable, gut wrenching description of how it was! Your style of expression rips me apart!! POWERFUL, VERY POWERFUL WRITE!!
Peace with be you!!
God rest her soul eternal rest in the arms of our Blessed Mother!!!

I am breathless...
You have taken me to a place I don't ever want to go
You have torn my heart and bruised my soul
I can only kneel and pray thee blessings and wonder what these blessings could be
I know one thing and that is that you have been blessed with a writer's talent and courage and the desire to combine them both...

the rhythm of poems, and music, tie themselves together, thank you for the ear.
this is breath-taking, I'm a little astonished that 39 views equalled no reviews, maybe 39 viewers were breathless and their words were knocked from their reach, this is extremely strong writing, something I could come back to over and over. I see Stephen Crane and Walt Whitman and of course Tennyson. You've blended the voices in a modern way, I spend a lot of time in the 1860s. I saw those soldiers and horses on the field of battle in my mind's eye.
