"

Wrote this in reading class. :) Enjoy!

"
I'll change my ways,
Be a FAKE me,
To get the chance to be with you.

I'll stop my scheming,
Be a NICE person,
To get the chance to be a friend.

I'll forget the times I was hurt by you,
Replace the pain with feelings of PLEASURE,
To get that chance to stop moping.

I'll wait forever to get those chances,
Wait for all the REJECTIONS,
To get that chance to start this ALL OVER AGAIN.

its an interesting thing, this emotional metamorphosis.. If a feeling is fabricated then it produces a negative response as the previous commenter has done. Then on the other hand, theres the notion of faking it until it becomes real. One asks then: Is this a misguided sense of love? When does acting to suit become like manipulation? It may serve as a better task to reflect on acceptance.. Acceptance on reasons for change or acceptance of wanting to be in a situation regardless of the negatives.. In the end its the writers choice and not the readers, which can make reading such a piece a bit conflicting.

Ah, yes, it's a vicious cycle, isn't it? Nice to-the-point poetry. The bold face font is a creative touch. Good luck with your writing career. :-)

I don't know. I believe if you get kicked in the head. Best leave the horse or person alone. To change for love is a good thing. But all things will come out in the end. Best be your self and find someone who likes you for the person you are. A very good poem. Open the doors to many questions.
