Death

Death

A Poem by Shannon Math
"

Poem about Death. Duhh...

"
Death is inevitable.
Death can't be avoided.
Whether it be peaceful or painful,
All life will end.
It will happen one way or another.
It could be...
Apocalypse.
Get Killed.
Murdered, Even.
Heart Attacks.
Diseases.
Abuse.
Domestic Violence.
Life has many ways to end.
When it does...
We stay in between heaven and hell,
Just watching the ones we love, live life.
We try as hard as we can to stop death from going their way.
To stop tragedy from ruining their lives for a moment or all the time.
We sacrifice our souls for the ones we love.
We would risk our lives to prove how much we love them.
They never know until we're really gone...

this is a great write.. except i believe that God has the final say of where we will be. Which is why we need to reach out & lead others to Christ so that we don't have to sit back & watch the ones we love (everyone) live life in Hell on Earth. They can be living life for eternity in the promised land!

Very true. Death isn't scary, but it just the new beginning.

A very thought-provoking poem! I really liked the style of this piece and thought that it flowed well. The thoughts that you posed to the reader were really intriguing, and I liked the fact that you took such a huge concept like death and wrote it in such a simple, universal way. The last line in particular hit a raw nerve with me, as it's a lesson that I think we all learn in life the hard way. :) Nice work,
