Just A Dream.

Chapter 1.

I was running through the dense forest, I didn’t know exactly why, but I couldn’t stop. Then I saw him. He turned to look at me, and then he turned back around and ran. I saw him jump into an old run-down car that was rusted with age, I climbed in to. Whoever it was started to cry when he saw me. I knew who it was in an instant. “It’s okay Puck.” I said.

“No, it’s not… it’s just not!” he cried.

“And why is that?” I asked.

“She- she said that she’d hurt you if I didn’t leave you alone.”

I thought for a moment, “The scarlet hand?”

“No,” A hand crashed through the car’s window, “Good bye Morgan.”

“No!” I cried, but it was too late. Puck was gone.

“You can’t save him now… can you?” a voice asked.

“Yes I can. You just wait and see.” I said aloud.

A flash of light sped by the car to the other side of the woods. I jumped out of the car and ran after it. “Wait!” I cried. I saw Puck being drug by some one, “You there! Stop! STOP!” I cried, the person stopped and turned around. Again I knew who it was, “Sabrina?” I asked, “W-why? Wait, were you the one who told Puck that if he didn't leave me alone that YOU, would hurt ME?” I said with a chuckle.

“Morgan! Run while you still have a chance, don't underestimate her!” Puck cried.

“You should listen to him ya' know.” Sabrina said, her eyes filled with rage.

“Now why SHOULD I?” I yelled at Sabrina, I took a fighting stance. I was not going to let her get away with this. I can take HER down, no problem, I thought to myself, I just have to focus.

Sabrina lunged at me, Puck was still in her hands, I easily blocked her punch, and then the next, I punched her in the stomach and she let go of Puck. “Come on!” he cried and we took off running.

As we reached the end of the woods, I turned around to look for Sabrina. “How long do, you think we, ran?” I breathed, I looked for Sabrina, she was no where in sight! I smiled.

“I, have, no ,idea” Puck breathed. “We should go home, just so that Sabrina won't catch us.” Puck started to walk away I followed.

I started to get a little light headed, I was not surprised by this as it usually indicates the end of a dream. I fell to the ground with a “thud!”

“Morgan, morgan wake up! Don't you leave me, morgan? MORGAN?!?” I heard Puck say, his voice began to change. I slowly fell asleep, not knowing that I would see Puck again, and very soon.

Chapter 2.

I woke up. “What a weird dream!” I said aloud. I got out of my bed, I walked over to the window and gasped I saw what looked exactly like where Puck and I were standing. “Tenth time, this time... it's , real.” I said aloud again.

Later that day I told my friend Stella everything.

“Oh, do you think it'll come true?” Stella asked.

We were walking her dogs, Roxy, Carmelo, and Luka.

“Hey, excuse me! Girls, I need to talk to you!” a boy said.

I kept on walking, the boy caught up to us.

“Hello, my name is Puck, I'm looking for Morgan, do you know her?” Puck asked.

I was shocked this was how the beginning of my dream always started.

“ You found her!” Stella said happily.

Puck looked at me, and then at Stella, “Really?” he asked me.

I nodded. Puck gave me a death hug,”What are you doing here? I thought I told you to wait in Brawly!” he demanded.

“You really think my mom would let me stay in Brawley all alone?” I asked.

Puck thought for a moment, “Yeah I suppose you're right.” he said.

“Changing the subject, how did you get here?” I asked.

“I flew.”

“Really? What plane?” Stella asked.

“My mother made reservations, I don't know.” Puck explained.

I was so happy. My dream came true!

“Wait. Stella, do you remember what I told you, about my dreams, what happened after we met Puck?” I asked.

“Yea- Sabrina came and tried to steal him away from you.” She remembered.

Puck looked worried, “I think we'll be OK.” he said. His face went pale.

“I don't know. So far my dreams are coming true.” I said.

“Don't underestimate he powers Puck, she could tell my future, it ALL came true.” Stella said.

We all laughed at her little joke. I started to calm down, “Stella, in my last dream Puck and I got away, I don't think Sabrina has a chance.” I said.

“Yeah I agree.” Puck said, “So you're name is Stella I suppose?” he asked.

“Yeah.” Stella said uncomfortably.

“Don't worry Stella, he won't bite.” I said.

“No promises.” Puck joked.

Stella still didn't look like she trusted him.

“Well, why don't we go back to my place and watch a movie?” I offered.

“Sure!” Puck and Stella both said.

Chapter 3.

“What movie?” Puck asked.

“Pirates of the Caribbean.” I said.

“Which one?” Stella asked.

“The first.” I said.

“Awesome! I love that one!” Stella said.

The movie started off from where I left it last time,Jack and Elisabeth were being marooned on an island. Stella was at the edge of her seat. I was working on another story. “What would you find at the bottom of an ocean?” I asked.

“Um... a pirate boat, a treasure chest, a pirate hat, something along those lines.” Stella said.

“Not like that! Like a curse,” I looked at the TV, “Like that cave, with cursed Aztec gold coins!” I said pointing at the TV.

“How about... a group of sirens? Or mermaids?” Stella said, her eyes glued to the TV screen.

Pillar (My grandma's dog.) came running in, barking like crazy. She ran over to Stella, Puck, and then came and jumped into my lap. “Pillar, you've gotten heavier.” I said.

She looked up as if to say: no I didn't!

“I think I'll be heading home. It's getting late.” Puck said.

“K. See you tomorrow?” I said.

“You know it!” Puck said.

“Can I spend the night?” Stella asked, after Puck left.

“Sure. I don't see why not.” I said.

Chapter 4.

Stella and I went to the lake, we were in our swimsuits ready to go swimming.

“Hey! Morgan, Stella!” We herd Puck yell at us. He was in his swimsuit also.

“Hey! You ready to swim?” I asked him.

“Well DUGH!” he said.

We all went to the end of the dock and jumped off, “It's SO COLD!” I cried.

“Yeah, I think we should just go and play, or fish!” Stella said.

“Sandcastle contest!” Puck declared.

“You're on!” I said, “Come on Stella!”

“Coming!” Stella said running after us.

Stella got 1^st place, Puck got 2^nd and I was the photographer. It was really fun. Stella and Puck both got ribbons, made out of sand, of course. It started to get dark.

“I think that we should get going.” I said looking at the setting sun.

“Yeah I agree,” Puck said, “My parents are probably worried about me.” he started to head home.

“I think he likes you.” Stella said when Puck was out of ear-shot.

“I think so to.” A voice said from behind us.

We turned around and saw a girl about our age staring at us. I gasped, it was Sabrina.

“Morgan does this follow you're dream?” Stella asked in a hush whisper.

“Yes.” I said.

“Now, Morgan, I want you and you're silly little friend to leave Puck alone. He's coming home today.” the girl said.

“Sabrina?” I asked. “You think that you can tell me what to do?”

“Yes. Now, do you understand me? I want you and your friend to leave Puck alone.”

“Yes. We understand.” I lied.

“Good, now go home.” she said.

Stella and I left the beach and went after Puck.

“Were leaving Puck? I thought you liked him.” Stella asked when we were far enough from Sabrina that she couldn't hear us.

“No, were going to find Puck, even if it kills us. In this part of my dream we find Puck down the trail we walk Pillar on.” I explained.

We ran when we got to the trail, and we soon caught up to Puck, and Sabrina.

“Wait! I can see them up ahead... we should stay back and listen.” I said. Stella nodded.

“But Puck! You have to come home!” we heard Sabrina whine.

“And why is that?” Puck asked her.

'Granny Relda told me to come and get you, she never told me why.”

“Now why would she want me to come back if she said that I could and come and find Morgan?”

“Because I told her about Morgan, she doesn’t want you to be like her.”

“Like what? A nice fun loving person? A person who's willing to help a friend? Like what Sabrina?”

“Like a hillbilly.”

“She is NOT a hillbilly!” Puck said.

“Yes she is.”

“Sabrina your wrong. She's a farmer's daughter, she's smarter than you.”

“She's a hillbilly going nowhere fast.”

“Leave me alone.”

“OK, I'll just go and tell her the real you. A stupid good for nothing lazy boy, who is a certified mud ball!”

I wanted to jump out and tell Sabrina off. But I held myself back.

“Well guess what? I already told her that.” Puck said.

I stepped out of my hiding space and Stella followed. I started to talk to her like we were just walking up the path.

“Did you read my story so far?” I asked. I stopped when I saw Puck and Sabrina look at us.

“Hi Puck. Who's this?” I said

“This is Sabrina, who's just leaving.” he said.

“Nice to meet you.” I said holding out a hand for her to shake.

She slapped my hand, “I have to talk to Puck. In private.”

“No! Sabrina I'm staying here with Morgan.” Puck said. He walked over to me and wrapped an arm around me.

“Well. I have to disagree.” Sabrina said.

“RUN!” I said. I turned around and ran back for my house, Puck and Stella followed.

We reached my house in no time. I ran inside and slammed the door as Puck and Stella ran in. I locked the door behind them.

“What was THAT about?” I asked.

“I have no idea.” Puck said.

“I don't know but Puck, she'll hunt you down. I think that you should stay here for the night.” I said.

“I think you're right.” he said, “Just let me call my parents and let them know.”

“Sure. The phones are all over the whole house.” I said.

Puck left the room to look for a phone.

“I think he REALLY likes you.” Stella said.

“Yeah I think so to.”

“I think you would make a cute couple.”

“You think so?”

“Duh! I bet you he'll ask you out. Have you seen the way the looks at you?”

“No not really.”

“I guaranty he'll ask you.”

“I hope so.”

“Shh! He's coming back.”

Puck walked back into the room. “What were you two girls talking about?”

“Nothing.” I said.

“Well I have to get back home.” Stella said, “I'll look out for Sabrina.”

“Call me if you run into her.” I said.

“OK!” Stella said, then she left.

“Thanks!” I said, “Would you like to watch a movie, or see what's on TV?”

“Let's see what's on TV.”

Around 7:00 P.M. My grandma and grandpa came home. “Morgan, Who's this?” my grandma asked.

“This is Puck he's staying the night, another girl tried to kidnap him, his parents said it was OK.” I explained.

“Oh, well that's OK I guess. He stays down here tonight though.” my grandma said.

“I know.” I said.

“Ravioli for dinner?” she asked me.

“Sure.” I said.

My grandma left the room.

“Morgan, I need to ask you something.” Puck said

“Yeah?”

“I was wondering, would you like to go out with me some time?”

“Sure!”

“Great.”

The phone rang.

“I'll get it!” I said.

I answered the phone, “Hello?”

“I felt something happened between you and Puck.” Stella said.

I laughed, “Yeah, he asked me out on a date.”

“I was right! I told you!”

“You were right.”

“I have to go see you tomorrow.”

“Bye.” I hung up the phone.

“Stella?” Puck asked.

“Yep.” I said, I looked at the TV. Commercial. I pulled out the story I was writing out of my folder.

“What are you writing about?” Puck asked me.

“A story.”

“What's it about?”

“Stella and I becoming mermaids.”

“Cool.”

“Dinners ready!” My grandma called.

“Come on. We need to bring the tiny table in.” I said.

I showed Puck the table and where to help me put it. “Careful now.” I said,“Set it down carefully.” I said.

We went into the kitchen and grabbed our plates.

“Shh.” I said pointing to the couch where my grandpa was sleeping, “It's the dangerous and rare grandpa, you DON”T want to meet him, trust me.”

Puck laughed at my joke.

“I'm not kidding, we need to hurry.” I said.

We ran back to the TV room. Puck pulled out my chair for me.

“Thanks Puck.” I said.

“Well, this is kinda like a date.” he said.

“Yeah I guess so, a lot cheaper to!”

Puck laughed again. “When do you think it'll be safe to leave?”

“Probably tomorrow.”

“OK.”

“It's getting late I'm going to bed OK?”

“Sure.”

“Lights out at ten.”

“Yes Ma’am.”

“Good.” I ran up to my room and changed into my pj's. And climbed into bed. I fell into a deep sleep, I had another dream. About me and Puck. It was about us walking around lake arrowhead and finally being caught by Sabrina.

When I woke up in the morning there was a note on my night stand: I have Puck, if you ever want to see him again meet me at the dock in two hours. - Sabrina. I sat there and read the note over and over again, I couldn't believe my eyes. I ran down stairs looking for Puck. He was in the TV room asleep. I woke Puck up and showed him the note.

Puck yawned, “I think she's trying to fool us.” he reached onto the little table and pulled out a similar note, “I got one to.”

“Why would she do this to us?”

“I have no idea why, but we have to do something to do about it.”

Chapter 5.

We went over to Stella's house as soon as possible. We told her everything.

“So, she just left a note and left?” she asked.

“Yup, gone before either one of us could catch her.” I said.

“What a coward!” she exclaimed.

We walked over to the yacht club for lunch, we all had burgers.

“I wish they had ravioli.” Puck said.

“I know!” Stella said.

This is good. I thought, Stella and Puck are getting along.

“I thought I told you to leave Puck alone.” a voice said.

We turned around to see Sabrina, her eyes filled with rage, “Well?” she demanded.

“I think we should stop following my dreams.” I thought.

“Yeah you did, why should I listen to you?” I asked.

“You don't want to know why.” she said.

“If you promise to leave Morgan and Stella alone, I'll go with you.” Puck said.

“I promise.” Sabrina said.

Puck got up and walked over to Sabrina.

“What are you doing?” I asked Puck, grabbing his hand.

Puck turned around and took hold of my other hand, “I'm saving the life of the person I love.” he said looking me straight in the eye.

“Who?” I asked.

“You!” Puck said, he leaned in and gave me a kiss.

“Run!” Puck said.

We ran to the dock, a dead end.

'You messed up now.” Sabrina said.

“Jump!” I said and jumped into an oncoming boat. We leaped into the lake and swam back.

“This is starting to get scary.” Stella said.

It was getting late, a light cold breeze swept through the trees.

“We better go home.” I said.

“Wait, I want to look around, to see if Sabrina left any traps or anything for us.” Puck said.

“Good idea. Puck you look over there.” I said pointing to the beach, “Stella over there.” I pointed to the dock, “I'll check over here.

After we searched for a while I heard a muffled cry, I turned around and gasped, Sabrina had Puck!

“Let him go, please.” I said calmly.

“No.” Sabrina said, she turned and ran away.

“Stella, go home, I'll go after Sabrina.” I said.

Chapter 6.

I followed Sabrina to a little shack, it reminded me of a ice-skating rink. I went inside and hid behind a few boxes.

“How could you love that... that cowgirl? You're suppose to love me!” she yelled at Puck.

Puck's head was looking down, tied to a chair. A tear trickled down Puck's cheek.

“She's a hot head!”

“No she's not!” Puck said, looking at Sabrina with disgust.

“She can't save you. She won't.”

Puck looked down.

I thought of my dream,“Yes I can.” I said stepping out from my hiding place, “And I will.”

“No! Morgan, get out of here!” Puck cried.

“Yeah Morgan, save him.” Sabrina said laughing.

I ran into Sabrina, knocking her down, “No one calls me a hothead and gets away with it.” I said through clenched teeth. I ran over to puck and untied him.

“We need to get out of here.” he said.

“I get that,” I said, “Done!”

Sabrina got up and tried to punch me, I stepped out of the way and she punched the brick wall.

We ran outside and went back to my house. We didn't stop running until we reached the front door. We went into the TV room.

Puck and I were in the TV room trying to catch our breath.

“I think Sabrina has gone WAY to far.” I said once I caught my breath.

“I agree.” Puck said.

We sat there for a while, not knowing what to say next.

Suddenly an idea popped into my head, “Should we go and get Stella? You know, just in case if Sabrina tries to kidnap her or something to steal you away from me?” I asked.

“Let's wait for tomorrow? Just so we know Sabrina won't try and kidnap me again.” Puck said.

“OK, I just want you to know I'm leaving in- or let's say either today, or tomorrow.” I said, on the verge of tears.

Puck came over and sat next to me, he wrapped his arm around my waist, he looked me straight in the eye. I rested my head on his shoulder.

“It'll be OK. I promise.” he said.

“I just hope you're right.” I said.

My grandma came into the room, “Morgan, are you ready? Were leaving in a half an hour. Say goodbye to Puck, then go over to Stella's and say goodbye.

I knew I looked like I was going to cry, I felt horrible. Puck and I got together, and now we had to be split apart.

“OK.” I said with a sniffle.

I got up to go and say goodbye to Stella when Puck pulled me back down. I looked at him with a hurt look on my face.

He was smiling, “Don't I get a goodbye?” he asked.

I laughed, I knew he wanted me to be happy. “You will, I want you to be last.” I said.

Chapter 7.

We walked over to Stella's house.

“I have to go home, I'll e-mail you when I get home OK.” I said.

“OK, bye.” she said,she mush have known how I felt about leaving Puck.

“Bye Puck.” Stella said.

“Bye.” Puck said.

“See ya.” I said, Puck and I left.

I looked up at the sky, dark rain clouds slowly rolled in.

“Great, it's going to rain.” I said.

“It would explain why you have to leave.” Puck said kicking a stone.

“Can't you fly back to Brawley?” I asked.

“I Wish I could.” he said.

It started to rain a light drizzle. We ran under a pine tree with thick branches.

“Well, at least we get more time with each other.” Puck said

I laughed. “I know I just feel so bad.” I said.

Puck chuckled, “Why should you feel bad? I should be the one feeling bad.”

I smiled, I still felt bad.

The rain started to get harder, a flash of lightning struck a tree near by, followed by thunder.

“That lighting struck by my house.” Puck said.

A little red flame started.

“Puck, where are you're parents?” I asked getting a little worried.

“At my house!” Puck cried.

We jumped up and ran for the fire. We stopped when we reached it. A little house was being burned to the ground. Puck ran towards it, I caught up to him just as he was about to reach it and grabbed his hand, he looked at me with a hurt look on his face.

“I know how you feel Puck, but I can't loose you.” I said.

“So you want me to live with out my parents?”

“No. I'm saying that you can come and stay with me.”

Puck's face softened. He looked around.

I knew what he was looking for,I found a hose wrapped around the base of a tree. I shot at the fire, unable to put it out. “Puck! It won't work!” I tried to shout over the flames. We heard the siren. We ran to a tree that wasn't on fire, not yet anyway.

A few fire men hopped out of a fire-fighter truck. We ran back to my house, soaking wet. Puck said that we couldn't tell my grandma about Puck's parents' or the fire. I agreed. Once we were dry enough we went inside to grab some towels. My grandpa never met Puck so it was a little uncomfortable.

“Hello Morgan, Who's this?” he asked.

“This is Puck. He's my friend.”

“Oh, you're BOYFRIEND?” he teased.

“No, were just friends.” I said.

“OK.” he said, not looking like he trusted me, or Puck.

We went into the TV room.

“How are we going to get my parents to let you stay at my place?” I asked.

“I don't know.”

“You'll probably stay in the shop.” I joked.

“You're probably right.”

“Why don't we just tell my grandma were ready to go then?” I asked.

“Sure.” .

We went into the kitchen, my grandma was making sandwiches for us on the trip back to Brawley.

“Better make three.” I said sitting down on one of the kitchen chairs.

“Why?” she asked looking suspicious.

“Puck's coming with us.”

“No he's not.”

“Grandma, his house burned down, his parents died in the fire.”

“Oh, I'm so sorry Puck, I'm sure you can come with us.”

I smiled, I knew my plan would work.

“Thanks Mrs. Veysey.” Puck said.

We went back into the TV room.

“It seems like you don't need a goodbye after all.” I said.

“Yep.” Puck said, he sounded sad.

“What's wrong?” I asked sitting down next to him.

“Well, you see. I never had my parents come with me here. I came alone. You probably hate me for lying.” he said.

“I'm not mad. I would have done the same thing.” I said.

“Yeah right.”

“No, Puck I really would have, there's just one thing on my mind right now.”

“What.”

“How did you get here? You said you flew.”

“I did, my mom never made the reservations, I did.”

“Wow. It must have cost a lot of money to be able to fly all the way over here.”

“Actually, it was a lot cheaper, I didn't bring a suitcase.”

“OK. I can see that.”

Puck and I talked for a little while longer until my grandma came in and told us it was time to go.

“We'll be down is a second.” I said.

“OK, but hurry up, the rain died down, and you know I don't like driving in the rain.” she said. She left the room.

“Let's go then.” I said.

We went down to the car,we jumped into the backseat. My grandma was there waiting for us.

“Ready?” she asked us.

“Yup.” I said.

Chapter 8.

We made our way down the mountain in the pouring rain

“At least the radio works.” I said.

Taylor Swift's “Long live” was playing, I sang along with it. “Long live! Al the mountains we moved, I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.”

“ Wow! Morgan I didn't know you can sing!” Puck exclaimed.

“Thanks, it just depends on what mood I'm in.” I explained.

“Cool, hey how long should it take us to get to Brawley?” he asked.

“Oh, probably about two hours.” my grandma said.

I sang along the whole entire way back. When we reached my house I was a nervous wreck.

“What's wrong?” Puck asked me.

“Let's just put it this way, my dad doesn’t treat all boys like family.” I said.

“We'll lets go and meet him first.” Puck said,he smiled at me and I had to laugh.

“OK, but if he tries to kill you. I warned you.” I said.

Puck looked at me as if to say: Really Morgan, I'm not that gullible.

My grandma pulled into the drive and we jumped out. Puck and I walked to the shop where my dad was always hiding.

“Sarah Evans A little bit stronger.” I said, “My dad and I try to beat each other at song naming.” I explained.

“Who are you talking to?” my dad asked me.

“That's kinda' why I'm here dad,” I started, my dad got up and walked over to us, “Dad, this is Puck, he's my friend and he's staying with us.”

“Not if I can help it, what's you're name again boy?” my dad said.

“Puck, sir. Nice to meet you.” Puck said holding out a hand for my dad to shake.

My dad shook Puck's, “Now, why is it that you're staying here?”

“Well you see sir, my parent's died in fire a few hours ago. And...”

“It'd OK, I get it. You can stay, as long as Morgan doesn’t get hurt. You hear me boy?” my dad took a step forward, and Puck took a step back. I stepped between them, “I think Puck gets it dad,I'm gonna' show Puck around OK?”

“OK, but I'm keeping an eye on you two. Get it?”

“Get it, got it, good.” I said, “Common' Puck.” I said walking out the door.

Puck and I walked around for a while I showed him the horses, cattle, and the other pets that I have.

“Tomorrow’s school, you have to come to.” I said.

“Why?”

“Because, you came here with me because of three reasons, one we don't want to be separated, two you're stuck with me, and three I want to keep an eye on you so that I know Sabrina doesn’t try to kidnap you again.” I said.

“Well, I guess you're right.”

“You know I am.”

We walked back to the house, my grandma was gone.

“Where did you're grandma go?” Puck asked.

“Home.”

We went inside, I told my mom the same exact thing I told my dad about Puck.

“Well where is he going to stay?” my mom asked me.

“Either the couch, or the back bedroom, or maybe we could blow up the air mattress?” I said

“Back bedroom.” my mom said.

I took Puck by the hand and showed him the back bedroom.

“Nice huh?” I asked, I sat down on the bed.

“Right. Wheres you're room?” Puck asked.

“Next door.”

“Can I see it?”

“Sure.” I said.

I showed Puck my room.

“Wow. Way to cool.” Puck said.

“That's not even the best part.” I said, I grabbed my i-pod and plugged it into the speakers. I played Thompson square “Are you gonna kiss me or not”

“Nice song.” Puck said.

“Thanks.” I said, “Have you heard there new one? It's called 'I got you'.”

“Yeah, it's really cute.” he said.

“Wanna' see what's on TV?” I asked.

“Sure.”

We went into my TV room. I turned the TV on, George Lopes was on.

I looked for my story packet, “Are you kidding me?” I said aloud.

“What's wrong?” Puck asked.

“I think I left my story in Lake Arrowhead.”

“That's sad.”

I went into my bedroom to look. “Not there either.” I said as I went back into the TV room. Puck was sitting on the couch on my computer, “What are you looking at?” I asked.

“Reading one of you're stories.”

“What?!?”

“Yeah there really good.”

I grabbed my computer out of his hands and turned it off., “Don't read them, most of them are my deep dark secrets and thoughts.”

“OK.” puck said sadly.

“At least let me finish them and print them.” I said.

My mom came in, “Dinners ready.”

“OK.” I said.

We went into the kitchen, “What's for dinner?” I asked.

“Taco salad.” my mom said.

Thunder rang thorough out the house, I jumped.

My dad came inside. We ate dinner, then Puck and I went back into my TV room. One of the windows was open, and rain was pouring in.

“Oh, no! Who opened the window?” I cried.

“I did.” Puck said, “Sorry about that.”

“It's OK, just go into the bathroom and get me some towels.” I said, closing the windows.

Puck went into the bathroom and came back with a few towels. I dried the carpet, the hope chest, and anything else that was wet.

“Morgan can I talk to you outside?”

“Sure, but you do know it's raining.”

“Yeah. I know.”

Chapter 9.

Puck and I went outside and around to where my mom or dad couldn't see us.

“What's up?” I asked, getting drenched in the rain.

“Morgan, Sabrina's going to try and separate us, you know that.”

“So?”

“So, I want you to know that I care about you more than Sabrina.” Puck said, he leaned in and kissed me.

“I feel the same.” I said, smiling.

We went back inside to dry off.

At 10 o clock'. I woke up around 6:28. I went in the back bedroom to check on Puck, he was sound asleep.

I went into my room to change into my clothes and get ready for school, as I was brushing my teeth, Puck came in.

“Good morning sleeping beauty.” I said.

“Why are you up so early?” he asked me.

“Because I have to go feed my steer.”

“You have a steer?”

“Yeah, didn't I tell you about Bosco?”

“Oh, now I know who you're talking about.” Puck said with a yawn.

“Yeah, if you change into you're actual clothes, you can come with me.” I said.

“Sure give me a few minuets.” Puck said, “I think it stopped raining.”

“OK.” I said, I continued to brush my teeth.

Five minuets later Puck and I were walking over to the steers.

“Hey! It's a killdeer.” I said.

“Um... what's a killdeer?” Puck asked.

“It's that bird.” I said, pointing at the killdeer running to the ground cover.

We fed the steers and walked back.

“Morgan, what school do you go to?” Puck asked.

“Magnolia, why?”

“I was just curious.”

“Right.”

When we got inside we went into the family room and watched Myth Busters.

“What time do we have to go to school?” Puck asked.

“Around seven thirty.” I said, “We need to get you a back pack.” I said.

We went into my closet and I started to look for my black skulls back pack.

“Ah ha! I found it.” I said happily, “Puck?” I asked. I turned around. Puck was in my bedroom, looking at “My fave board.”.

“What are you looking at?” I asked.

Puck pointed at my class picture, “You have a lot of kids in you're class.”

“Yep. I wonder what Lizzy will think of you.” I said.

“Who?” Puck asked.

“Lizzy.” I said pointing to her picture, “She's my friend, she cut her hair.”

“She looks sweet.” he said studding her picture.

“Morgan! Puck! Time to go!” we heard my mom say.

“Let's go.” I said, I shoved my backpack into Puck's hands.

We ran outside to my mom's car and hopped in.

“Did you already feed?” my mom asked.

“Yep, Puck and I fed at six.” I said.

“ OK.” my mom said.

We started off for school.

Chapter 10.

When we got to school, the 6^th grade girls and boys were playing volleyball.

“Hey Morgan! Who's this?” Lizzy asked, running up to me and Puck.

“Lizzy, this is Puck. Puck, this is Lizzy.” I said.

“Nice to meet you.” Puck said to Lizzy, he stuck out his hand for her to shake.

“Same here.” she said shaking his hand.

“Puck, common' we need to put our back packs away so we can play to.” I said.

“ Can I come to?” Lizzy asked.

“Sure, I don't see why not.” I said.

We went into the classroom and put down our backpacks.

“Let's go.” I said.

We race to the basketball court.

“Hey Morgan. Who's this?” one of the girls in my class asked me.

“This is Puck. He's staying with me while his parents are gone.” I said, “Can he and I just watch so I can tell him what to do?”

“Sure.” another said.

“Hey Morgan! Who's this? You're boyfriend?” we heard someone call.

We turned around to see a group of girls walking up to us.

“I don't think you need to know.” I said.

“Why? You embarrassed to be caught with you're boy friend?” another said.

“Well actually, we are together.” Puck said.

“Puck. Why?” I asked.

“I don't think it's OK for them to bully you like that.” he said.

“ I think it's sweet. Loser girl and boy finally get together. How touching.” another one said, pretending to cry.

“Have you ever heard the saying :Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me? Well try that on for size.” I said, getting irritated by the minuet.

“How old school.” this first one said.

“Hey why don't you leave Morgan alone?” Lizzy said, walking up beside me.

“Yeah lighten up!” one of the girls playing volleyball said, joining Lizzy, Puck, and I. Soon the other girls, and even the boys came and stood up to the group of girls.

“Hey we were just joking.” one of them said.

“Yeah, lighten up.” another said. The girls walked off.

I turned back around to face my friends that helped me, “Thanks guys.” I said, “It helps.”

“I'm tiered of them bossing us around, it's sick.” Lizzy said.

“I'm glad they left.” Puck said.

“Puck were you serious, about you and Morgan being together?” a girl asked.

“Yeah, we met in Lake Arrowhead.” Puck explained.

“How sweet!” Lizzy said.

I looked down and blushed. I didn't want anybody to know about us.

The game continued.

“You see Puck, when one of the boys hits it and it goes outside of the yellow line, the girls serve, if the same thing happens but the girls serve goes out, the boys serve. Got it?”

“Yeah, I think so.”

“Great, let's play.” we went on to the court joined the game, I took back left, Puck took front center.

“Let's go!” I yelled.

Lizzy served the ball, and it landed on Puck's head. Knocking him down.

“Puck!” I cried, I ran over to help him up. “Are you OK?” I asked him.

“Yeah, something hit my head pretty hard.” he said rubbing his head.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Puck blinked a few times, then shook his head.

“Is that a no?” I asked.

“I'm fine. My head's ringing. That's all.” he said.

I helped Puck to his feet, I kissed the top of his head where I saw the ball hit him, “The ringing stop?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Puck said smiling.

I walked back to my spot, “Let's go!” I yelled.

The boys served the ball, it went back and forth for a while, I hit the ball and Puck did the same, “Nice hit Puck.” I said.

“Thanks.” he said.

The bell rang, “What's that?” Puck asked.

“The bell.” I said, walking up to Puck I slipped my hand in his, “We have to go to the flag pole.”

Chapter 11.

We walked over to the flag pole, “Puck you have to wait in the boy's line.” I said, looking back at the boy's line.

“OK.” he said.

We did the pledge, and walked back to the class room, “Boy' s line.” I told Puck, “And no talking once were inside, I'll tell you when you can talk.”

“Girls.” my teacher said, the girls went inside, I stayed to tell her about Puck.

“He's my friend, he's staying with my family and I while his parents are gone.” I explained.

Puck walked up while the other boys went in, “This is Puck.” I said, “Can he sit next to me?” I asked.

“Sure, but I want you to tell the class about him.”

“Deal.”

We went inside, “Class Morgan has a friend here with her, he'll be staying with her so be polite.”

The class quieted down.

“Hi, this is Puck he's staying with me and my family while his parents are gone. Tell them about you're self.” I said.

“Well um, I don't really have anything to say.” he said uncomfortably.

“Aren’t you two boyfriend and girlfriend?” one of the girls, the ones in the group, asked.

“Why yes we are.” Puck said haughtily.

“Then prove it! Kiss her!” another one said.

“Oh back off!” I said, “You know if you think you're going to treat me like this and you think that later in the future that we're going to be friends, you're wrong. You don't be mean and think every things going to be served to you on a silver platter!”

The group of girls slowly slid down in there seats.

“Morgan and I are dating, and we are together. We just don't like being bullied about it.”

The door opened, “Really? You put up with me in Lake Arrowhead.” a voice said. Sabrina stepped in the room.

“Puck. Puck run!” I cried.

Puck ran to the back of the room and Sabrina followed.

“Help him!” I cried, “Call nine-one-one!”

One of my friends called the cops, “What do you want me to tell them?”

“Tell them a girl is trying to kidnap a guy!” I cried.

Most of the boys had got up and were trying to separate Sabrina from Puck, I grabbed a ball of yarn and threw it at Puck, “Tie her up!” I cried.

Once we got Sabrina tied up, the cops came.

“So, what happened again?” one of the cops asked Puck and I.

“We were int the front of the class talking, she came in, we tied her to a chair to stop her from chasing Puck.” I said.

“We'll let her go with a warning, if this happens call us again.” the cop said, then left. Along with his men.

“This is crazy!” I said.

“What?” Puck asked.

“That he wont help us.” I said.

“That is crazy.” he said.

Sabrina came walking over to us, “ You think that if you call the cops on me, you'll keep Puck?” she demanded.

“Why? What did I ever do to you?” I asked.

“You took Puck away from me!”

“She didn't, I left you.” Puck said.

“Lizzy! Tell the teacher I went home early today! Puck run.” I said, Puck and I ran back to my house. Sabrina following us every step of the way.

We ran to shop, we hid in the back.

“Why here?” Puck asked.

“Because here Sabrina can't break a window trying to get in.” I said.

We heard Sabrina pound on the door, “Open up! Now!”

“Shh!” I said holding a finger to my lips.

Sabrina left, we waited. Nothing.

I got up, “I think were OK.” I said.

“I think you're right.” Puck said.

Chapter 12.

As the years went by, Puck and I got closer, on my 21^st birthday, Puck proposed.

“This is going to kill me.” I said. We were going to tell my parents that I was getting married, to Puck.

“No it won't. You're parents like me.” he said.

“I guess you're right.” I sighed.

Puck and I went inside my parent's house.

“Hi Morgan. Hi Puck.” my mom said.

“Hey Mrs. Veysey.” Puck said.

“Hey mom, where's dad?” I asked.

“Out in the shop.” she said, “Why?”

“Oh, um I have something to tell you guys.” I said.

“We both do.” Puck added.

“I'll call him and tell him to come in.” my mom said.

An hour later my dad came in. I hid my left hand in my jean pocket. I didn't want my mom or dad to find out, not just yet. We all went into the family room.

“What did you want to talk to us about?” my dad asked, sitting down on the couch.

“Well, what would you do if I told you, Puck and I were getting married?” I asked.

“He proposed?” my mom asked.

“No he didn't. There's no ring.” my dad said.

I sighed, I pulled my hand out of my pocket, revealing the ring. “Yes he did.” I said.

“Congratulations! When's the wedding?” my mom exclaimed.

“We don't know yet.” Puck said.

“I'm designing it, I don't want any surprises.” I said.

“Deal.” my dad said, “Why don't we watch a movie?”

“Sure.” I said, I looked at the wall clock, “Dad, it's two in the morning, I'm going to bed.”

“See you tomorrow.” Puck said.

I went into my room. I changed onto my pj's and hopped into bed. I had yet another dream, about me and Puck.

Chapter 13.

I woke up and found another note on my night stand: Hey “Sleeping beauty” get a good night sleep? I'm in the guest room. - Puck.

I laughed at his note, I walked into the guest bedroom and found Puck awake, watching TV.

“Hey, can I join you?” I asked.

“Sure.” Puck said.

I sat down next to him, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

“What are you watching?” I asked.

“This TV show called 'say yes to the dress' I wanted to watch it to guess what dress you want.” Puck said.

“They probably don't have it.” I said.

“Really? Then what do you want?”

“A light blue dress.”

“With ruffles?”

“Nope, I hate ruffles.”

“I could see that.”

“What do you think happened to Sabrina?” I asked.

“I don't know, maybe she got hit by a bus.” Puck offered.

I laughed, “What's you're plan for today?” I asked.

“I was thinking maybe we could get a house up in Lake Arrowhead.”

“OK, let me go tell my mom.” I got up and went into my parent's room, my mom was still asleep.

“Mom?” I asked, “Mom, Puck and I are going to Lake Arrowhead.”

“OK.” she muttered.

I ran back to the guest room, “We can go!” I said happily.

We packed our suitcases and hopped into my truck. We headed to Lake Arrowhead. We found a cute little house for sale.

“How about this one?” Puck asked.

“I like it, let's get it.” I said.

A lady walked out of the house, “Are you interested in the house?” she asked.

“Yes we are, when can we get it?” Puck asked.

“Well first I want to give you a tour, then we can settle on the price.” the lady said.

We had a full tour of the house, the price was settled at $ 1,000.

“Thank you.” I said to the lady.

“You're welcome.” she said.

We went into the village, we bought furniture, and a few other things. We went back to our house to move in.

“This is great.” I said, once we were done.

“Yeah, this is better than I thought it would be.” Puck said.

“Yeah, by far.” I said.

There was a knock on the door.

“I'll get it.” I said. I walked to the front door, I looked through the peep hole, it was Sabrina.

“Puck, hide!” I cried. I ran over to him.

“What? Why?” he asked me.

“Sabrina, she's here.” I said.

Puck stood there, looking at me with a blank expression on his face.

“Puck, hide.” I said. We crawled under the bed to hide.

We heard the door open, and people walking around. “Find them.” a person ordered.

We waited, “There not here.” another person said.

“Then we can leave once I watch the house catch on fire, every thing will die and Puck along with it!” a person snapped.

“Sabrina! You've gone crazy! So Puck doesn’t like you, what's wrong with that? Why did I ever listen to you?” a voice said.

“He's suppose to love me, not that hillbilly.”

I looked over at Puck, he was holding his breath. I knew what was going to happen next. I took Puck's hand in mine.

He looked at me. I knew what he was thinking.

“Wait.” I mouthed, he nodded his head.

“They probably went back to Brawley.” someone said.

“You're right.”

“Then let's go.”

“OK.”

We heard footsteps leaving the house. We crawled out from under the bed. The house was trashed, papers everywhere, it was a nightmare.

“Should we call the cops?” I asked Puck.

“No, Sabrina will know we were here.” he said, “We should just clean it up our selves.”

“OK.” I said.

We cleaned the house until it was just like before Sabrina came.

“I think it's time for bed Puck.” I said yawning.

“OK.” he said.

We crawled into bed and fell into a deep sleep.

Chapter 14.

We woke up in a car, Sabrina was driving.

“What's wrong with you?” I cried.

“More like what's wrong with you I should say.” Sabrina said.

“Leave Puck alone! I think that you just want to fight.” I said.

Puck woke up, “What's going on?” he asked.

“Nothing Puck go back to sleep.” Sabrina said.

“I think he should know.” I said, “She's kidnapped us.” I said.

“Sabrina, why won't you leave us alone?” Puck asked.

Sabrina started to ramble on about hoe Puck was suppose to love her, and not me. I slid my ring off my finger and started to cut the rope I was bound in,and then Puck's. I looked at him, he looked at me. We opened the doors and ran.

“Hey! Get back here!” Sabrina yelled at us.

We didn't turn around, we ran. I knew we were in Brawley, we ran to my house. I went inside, followed by Puck. I grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen.

“What are you going to do with that?” Puck asked.

“When Sabrina walks in, I'm going to smack her in the head with it, that way we can call the cops and be able to tie her to a chair.” I explained.

“Oh.” Puck said.

The door opened, Sabrina walked in, I waited for her to come a little closer, then I smacked her across the face. She fell down unconscious.

I called the cops. They came fifteen minuets later, and took her to prison.

Chapter 15.

It was the day of our wedding, “Morgan, do you take this man to be you're husband in sickness and in health?” the preacher asked me.

“I do.” I said.

“You may now kiss the bride.” he said.

Puck smiled and leaned in to kiss me.
