Grow Up

Grow Up

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

the silence of me

"

Grow Up

Numbness radiates

Formalities are recommended

Fear is everywhere

Like, all it took to catch was eye contact

Mongering

Mingling

Mesmerized

Malintent in the air,

directed too close for comfort

I’ve cut the fat already off my mind

Wondering if I’ll miss the gluttony

The deviation

The inspiration

I nominate me

I vote for you

We will be awake this lifetime

No stars crossed

Just dotting the I’s

Simply beautiful bird

Shining bright

So maybe at last I can be the person in front of the shadow

Just a reflection of us in our window of minds

something about missing the light, looking for the dawn, always brighter with that person's hand in yours

I like this

Outstanding! To stand up for ones self in this world, and have faith in who you are.........I loved these lines.

I’ve cut the fat already off my mind
Wondering if I’ll miss the gluttony
The deviation
The inspiration
I nominate me
I vote for you
