ShineA Poem by Count Humilus"silence of me"I start a day full of gray sunshine The glare is so strong I can’t open my eyes fully I feel half asleep I put on my sunglasses I exhaled a sigh of relief after holding the smoke in Even far away beauty and sunshine fill my thoughts I see the clouds break I feel the sun on my mind I feel you thinking about me I can’t remember the last time a kiss felt right I dream of connecting the blurry lights so your in focus I miss you when I want you I throw a crab apple at a group of kids playing street hockey Drive away laughing under the influence of my ever growing tolerance to my pills and a sanity that I can’t seem to find in one place Formative thoughts Informative years Learning from screwdrivers and drugs Growing up slow while the world is even slower Sea and slumber Cities and lights Poverty and fights Pretty girls and numbers Slow motion reality Ocean’s of introspective analyses Float me to the top of the clouds Leave me be to find who, what and why © 2010 Count HumilusReviews
