Exposed Film

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

I’ve captured I’ve everything I’ve ever feared in such clear focus

Sleeping inside a willow tree’s thorns,

Hearing the Seine go by,

I wish I had never been there that day and filmed those shots

But I cocked my Super 8

And I finally found where permanence lies

And no word

No love

No wind

Nothing could blow this reality in a different direction

Looking at everyone in the ground

A record spinning backwards

Feeling how loud it is to be in silence,

When it is complete,

And all around

I wish I never took these shots

Because now when I watch it

The names are grainy and blurred out

And it’s everyone I’ve ever known

It’s everything anyone’s ever shown me

It’s everybody I’ve ever loved

It’s nobody I never knew

It’s everything I always wanted to be

And it’s there forever…

Lost

Yet so easily found

All of us

All of us

6 feet deep beneath the ground

Very in depth...no pun intended (6 feet under). This has so much written into it, as to your world, and those around you....descriptive and captivating it is!
.......nothing could blow this reality in a different direction........great line.....great write!
