Air Bubbles

Air Bubbles

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

I don’t know if I am regretful about anything anymore

To hurt is natural

As natural as to love

Our souls and body may create no divide

But without the duality of life every emotions sting and pleasure leaves us incomplete

I choose selfish

I choose a life for myself

I see everyone’s faces as I drown

Sinking into expectations oceans

I am faced with my past

My long lasting last images take my last breaths

Kiss me she cries

Look in my eyes I say

Turning around from shadows

The wind picked up

A murder in the east

A wedding in the west

A death of hope in her fleeting departure

Lost health

Breaking spirits

Feeling like I used to

Limit me to myself

I can’t go wrong

I realize the correct choice to make

And then I realize I have no more breaths

Shallow independence deepens the darkness of this abyss

Beautiful poem. Your choice of words really created the effect of sinking and of one's last moments, which eventually turn into regret.
To me, this poem teaches a lesson. Never be selfish and always make the morally correct choices. Don't turn away from your loved ones who care about you, and never focus just on your own needs. You might end up regretting that you did when it is too late. I really like how you incorporated a somewhat cliche-ish lesson into your poem and gave it a fresh, unique, new look. Even if you did that unintentionally, that is I interpreted it.

^Awesome last line!!!!

Beautiful, amazing work. I have no constructive criticism to offer. This one is definitely going in my library. Keep up the wonderful writing.
