Girl

Girl

A Poem by Count Humilus
"

Silence of me

"

Simplicity bids more then I can afford

I am not going to be here to hold your hand girl

I always paid a little more attention to the clouds then the rest

I hid a suicide note in the dirt of the Whitley

I hid myself away proper

I smiled at her with an eye patch

Blinking at my reflection in the window

I bite a cigarette in half

Lights out with a wish

I burn the bottom of my ankle to remind myself of happiness

I hid sadness in the drifting fog

I hid our love in a prescribed dream

Seemingly fleeting emotions

Seamlessly complicates the violin makers job

No space left to store these thoughts

A note on his barred windows says, “Be back in 1 year”

I hide my fears

I hide my tears

I hid my heart in Hollywood

I hid a poem in your pocket

I hid your diamond under my tongue

Fading limbs

I see the lamps not giving off sufficient light

I run and jump into the cold air

Catching my self with a noose

I hid sleep in the shadows

I hid myself in a coffin, in my very best suit…

Just for you girl
