smoke & azure rae

smoke & azure rae

A Story by brianna vega

azure rae could feel the grass crush into the wet mud under her feet as she walked across the gray and green field. the air was moist and silent except for the occasional chirp of a bird up early searching the grounds for warms raising thier bodies onto the surface and puddles. As she approached smoke that familiar smell began to reach her nostrils.she couldnt believe she was doing this. her back pack and shoulder bags weighing her down reminding her this wasnt any regular morning. that note so blindingly clear written in shaky script each word a battle.

dad, im leaving. dont follow me chase me or call the cops. if you do ill tell them everything. say i went to live with mom. -rae
