desert

desert

A Poem by brianna vega

im slightly distracted this week
mind fuzzy the world seems so bleak
the constant battles of opposites fighting for control
of a world theyll never know
i stand here
the sun beating on my skin
so harsh
it burns me dark
the sands and twigs rub scratching the skin off my feet
the scorpions run around me
snakes slither pass hissing with black eyes
