A Poem by brianna vega

i tasted freedom with the first gasp of sunlight
i had had enough when i walked out that door
he gave me the strength to leave it all behind
he is my food and shelter as long as he is in my lungs i will live in freedom
i am his princess and nothing less
no one can tell me diffrent if i dont wish it
i am his daughter the king of all kings and as he guides me into freedom i will taste the sunlight
a communion of his love as i gasp in the yellow light
tears hitting the ground like bombs
hair blowing in the wind each one named
