a funeral.

a funeral.

A Poem by brianna vega

grow
as these people surround me
filling seats till arms press up against each other
bodies one after the next fill in around me
talking in whispers
eyes searching
watching
scolding laughing
       crying
a life has ended
but were here together
                         this is my family
crowding this church
filling in around me
