a story of that drunk punk love 3A Poem by brianna vega
so today's the day. the kids coming home. the sky was gray as me and my mum drove to the greyhound. by the whole bottle of sky vodka last night and countless number of cigarettes this morning i could tell she was nervous. Even hungover she looked gorgeous though. Curvy perfect body long curly dark hair and sad smoky eyes. She was a Latin queen that's for sure. as we pulled up to Grey hound there was bums everywhere outside and the smell of piss lingered in the air. As we sat on a bench outside mom was practically shaking. after about twenty minutes the hound pulled in spilling people into the depot. all yelling talking hugging the air buzzed with excitement as my mom stood there staring with worried eyes out into the curb. after five minutes i spot my brother i recognized his long curly hair from the pictures we received each school year. he looked just like mom catching the girls eyes in room as he walked up. A huge smile on his face he came up and grasped my mom tightly in a hug practically picking her up wow he was tall. As he reached for me i couldn't help but laugh and cry.
