college coffee & 19th century literature

A Poem by brianna vega

this heat is making me lazy
       questions questions
lets move on to the next step
ask your self is it worth it
to lay here in the shade
pondering offering theories on things we cant change
you wont even let me read your writings
four days and your anticipating the the crumble of our friendship
as you say the inevitable day when we will cease to converse over our lunch
not even giving me a chance
right off you offered a challenge
told me how you only allow acquaintances
well when i value a persons mind opinions thoughts and ideas
even more strongly when they oppose with mine
its a bit harder for me to let you just slip so easily
 your not just entertainment
not a tool a toy to be used  for my own enjoyment
i dont play like that though manipulative i might be
