memories of our premature summer

memories of our premature summer

A Poem by brianna vega

remember when we'd stay up all night?
parked in your car singing soco armeretto lime
as the sun came up wed walkin to fall asleep in each others arms
best friends we never went too far
and now its gone
alone in bed just growing old
i know your still up too in your room playing guitar
did i take it to far?

every line expresses the beauty of friendship and the pain of falling for one
Did I get that right? thats what I think.

I understand the poem, and don't envy the meaning, going too far with a best friend. In fact, it makes me glad I don't have a best friend (if that's sad, it is what it is). I like this work, from the title to the very last line.
