jealousy

jealousy

A Poem by brianna vega

I can tell she was on his mind

By that stupid smile

As he sat directly infront of her

Acting oblivious to her presence

And I was avoiding the attraction

Of my eyes to their seat

And by that stupid smile

I could tell she set his nerves on fire

His senses stiffen and wait

Why cant I have that effect

And by that stupid smile

I could tell he enjoyed the fact

That she was just inches away

A turn of the head would lead to

Direct eye contact

But he doesn’t have the guts

To turn around

Make a move

To turn around and break my heart

At a quicker pace than he is achieving right now.
