Lets run away

Lets run away

A Poem by brianna vega

Let’s run away

Runaway and not come back

Run from it all

We won’t dare look back

Let’s see new places

Meet new faces

Leave these snobs

With their bootleg Louise vutton

Artist

And writers

Baristas

And musicians

We’ll hang in cafés

Sipping

Coffee

Not fraps

We’ll leave all the star bucks

And find

A hole  in the wall

Coffee Shoppe

Will live on worn books

On songs and poetry

Kept warm by each other

We can be our own shelters

Let’s run away

Away from the fakes

Let’s run away

Away from it all.

brianna,

I found your poem just lovely! The ease of reading, the rhyme and meter, flow effortlessly. I believe that that is why I love it so much. Your poem is very appealing; flowing with real love, reality, and the satire is brilliant.

Make sure your are keeping a record, journal, or file folder insofar this baby's going to make you a buck. As I read your poem, my first impression was The Beatles; moreover, the song writing duo of Lennon and McCartney and just how their lyrics flowed.

Reading books and sipping coffee at the hole in the wall coffee shoppe just time warped me into the used book store and coffee hang-out of my college days. Very lovely indeed.
