A Poem by brianna vega

she wanted to run into the night

enter the skeleton of the city

watch the buildings rise ahead of her

each empty

of souls

full with the last of the energy

all left from the day

like ghost

memory

sleeping air

she wanted to transform mid step into a car

and speed down silent streets

the only sound

of wind against her sides

rushing in through her windows

she wanted to move

keep going till she had no gas left

no breath

until she was absolutely forced to rest.

I love the imagry in this. The sheer darkness of the images fades quickly as you realise that the buildings are no more or less than 'framework', but you breathe life into the world you create through your participation. From the imagry to the phraseology. This one is a stormer. Superb work Lady.
