Same Mistake

Same Mistake

A Poem by Hilary Huddleston
"

Making the same mistake again.

"

One sip and the tingeling starts in your arms.  As if tiny balls of fire were exploding under your skin.  It fades and starts to cool.  One more sip and the shaking sets in.  You realize it was a mistake but keep going.  Another sip and your legs feel numb.  A braver sip, a drink almost, clears your head.  Your falling apart by the time its finished.
