Fading

Fading

A Poem by Costa Siwale

My eyes serenade your soul,
And gaze into the heart you let exposed.
I see the heat between us grow
Streaked across your lips n brawl.

I see a fiery passion burn through your eyes,
yet a solitude in the love you disguise,
There's a clarity within, far from the lies
that our souls in the afterlife will reunite.

Clench my evanescent soul,
And all little ecstasies we could afford.

Time will soon break our hearts,
as love eternal is never-everlasting.

This poem has a beautiful almost musical quality to it, especially with the phrase "My eyes serenade your soul". There's a sense of longing and intensity in the language, and I appreciate how you've woven together themes of passion, love, and impermanence.
