Sensory Overload

Sensory Overload

A Poem by CosminDZS
"

I ripped off like 20 world mythologies with this one

"
The river runs steep with hints
of light breaking ripples colored in
violet fluorescent under a sky
riddled with migratory birds
flying into constellations
of stars driven away
by the belt of Orion.

Over the horizon a rock
gives birth to the sun
with rays like swords
pierce the underworlds
and overworlds
to mingle in-between
where seasons bring forth
months and months
bring forth days.

The grinding of the stones
like giant’s teeth hurling
rocks at the moon
where impact craters
blow out dust
so we can
return to stardust soon.

The titans break their backs
and polish the globe
with their sandpaper skin
so you may cherish the fire
and the light from within.

Angels whisper from the east
and ride the gales until
whispers fall like lightning
and silence screams like thunder.

Off the rings of Jupiter
I will play my lyre to be
washed away in Neptune blue.
The sad notes of my lyre
travel in the tails of comets
telling tales of purple red and blue
across the galactic spectrum
of life bright and overdue
