A Poem by Britanie

My mind speaks

What others have already

Said.

My own thoughts

Complicated

Errors, elongated.

There are times when

I open my mouth

To say something original

And then I find myself

Emulating

Recreating

Twisting

Trying to make something beautiful

into my own creation.

Without regret or remorse

I pour my heart out

And swim in the words with all of the others

That came before me.

From what I can understand, this is a better piece than your poem about the "little things". It seems both more detailed, and complete. Also, I like the wording and how you have analysed your own way of thinking. Interestingly, at one point, you suggest the desire to re-create something of your own, from an entity which is already beautiful. Thankyou, for sharing these insights into your personality....
