free-form expression.
A Poem by Britanie
thoughts turning into words
forming into sentences
sticking to my tongue, like glue.
every letter, another muscle unmoved.
and before i can write them out, speak them loudly;
they are gone
just as quickly
as they came.
my thoughts are blurry, scattered
a gray template of inspiration, genius, nonsense,
feelings evoked by feelings not felt, or felt too much;
feeling every little thing there is to feel in this world.
i am surely to feel it all.
with a touch of the tip of my finger,
the sensations run through my thin skin
piercing my veins
the wine, blood red and flowing
i am hooked.
these things that make my blood burn,
i want more now
and somehow also less.

In style, this resembles your other poems (which I have reviewed). Again, your wording is effective and encourages the reader to think. Indeed, modern art (and society) needs more creative thinking, such as this. Otherwise, genuinely original art, will gradually became more scarce. I also like the title, which you have chosen for this poem. It has a meaning, as the most memorable titles, sometimes do.
By coincidence, I have a mutual friend (Kim Travis), who also appreciates the value of self-expression. Keep writing. I look forward to reading more of your work, Britanie. You are both a true poet, and free-thinker!

"I do not think there is a woman in whom the roots of passion shoot deeper than in me. The two elements of passion are rapture and melancholy. It seems to me, I am that incarnate."
