Reprise of the Jester.

Reprise of the Jester.

A Poem by cos_nik
"

Written just after midnight, new years eve...

"

Conjunct in our social being which consists of I and them, or you,

so latent in all that personifies any part of a being of I.

Opinionated in thought unable to stretch the words

so intertextually flickered through dense nothingness.

Death incumbent lost in valour of mass.

Soulessly lit up in candour a form

unmoving

icicles layering ground matte sheen threatening a slip

always night I seem to awake

to listen and wait knowing that movement

sounds tenfold in the quiet.

Lighted hearts cheer and smirks levelled in grimaces

as a brand new solar year turns numbers into decimals.

clandestine fortress buried in cold stone,

crumbles still; lavender an archaic forgiveness lining bank,

our ancestral heathenism paradoxic as flaunted will

and gesture alike, with kin

or impasse others.

This be a changeling

or shall I cease.

Concentrate loving

really knowing

like a twisted palm fate

but then did matter;

of what I now know,

construct from loss of tension

from seeing by sense.

in a sepulchre tone chance chant of elders

preserved of look and sorrowfully gaze.

Lest this mechanism yield and convivial function replace.
