A Poem by Corrinne McMahon

Deceptive death he promises.
Lowly hunter, lovers swine,
Cherry pain to a rhythmic birth
With guts and skin and hope?
Rejections kiss swallowed by night,
Luscious defenseless dove.
White.
Ribbons of fire
This tortured reverance.
Lies.
I, we, do
hate.
Wilted hearts and tender bosom,
Like fettered veins.
Laced blood lust
The Timeless masquerade.
