My Dark Delight

My Dark Delight

poem

"
He sleeps in the shadows and hides from the sun
Beneath trees I wait for him

His darkness aproaches,
The night grows deeper as he encroaches

His face a sweet sea,
A heart that is ancient and belonged to me.

I sit on the grass,
He kneels beside me
And I wonder at what he fancies in me

His heart so dark his eyes a flame,
Every word oozes death,
How can I complain?

He leans in close and whispers to me,
"What do you want? ask anything. it's free"

I think very hard
And only two things I desire
The first thing, impossible
A tale from a liar

So it is the second thing i wisper back to him.

He looks at me.
Frowns,
Shaking his ang-
Elic face.

"Not tonight dear, lets wait a bit longer,
Perhaps when you're older, wiser and stronger"

"No" I reply
As I plead with my eyes
"You promised me anything.
And now it's all lies?"

He furrows his brow and meets my gaze

"You are breaking my heart"

I wonder at why,
His heart should break,

But I do not care,

He will grant me my wish,
I hardly can wait

His eyes are wet when I meet them with mine,
But i don't care,
I have'nt the time,

One thing's for certain,I know he can't lie,
He would grant what I asked for,
Tonight I would die.
