summer living

Tonight the sky is a coffee-colored uncertainty
draped with shoe lace constellations,
strewn like toys across a blanket


Tonight our lake house is a pocket in the sky's mirror
caught in the magic of moonlit adoration
lying lustrous for a portion of the heavens pie

This is a good write - you have captured a beautiful moment in very few words - there is ultimately a sense of comfort and peacefulness (I believe that it a word - but it captures the feeling this poem gave me).
I do like your use of imagery - it is very striking - I think you should definately work on it and use it to its maxium effect - as there is so much potential here.
As I have said I enjoyed how much you managed to capture in so few words - this is due to your great use of imagery - however I would like to see this developed - perhaps you could add some more stanzas and really capture that moment and make it all consuming - this is however my own personal opinion.
