forbidden love

forbidden love

A Poem by cooncomemasi
"

is age just a number?

"

Everything inside me says it's right

But to the outside world I'm dead wrong

Do I defy the odds and take a chance?

Or do I ignore intuition and let this opportunity pass?

I've got nothing to lose

Unless I cross that line

Am I being serious? This is not logical

Purely emotional

I can't stop thinking about her

One step at a time

Rumi said "what you seek is also seeking you"

Everything happens for a reason

I hope our time together is for more than just a season

You left your mark on me

Who you are is enough

But I'm in love with who you have the potential to be

I'm willing to see where this goes

It might not go anywhere

It might go all the way

I'm ok with both but I pray for the latter

Batter up

You miss all the pitches you don't swing at

Is this love?

I've been wrong before

The silence that follows after professing your love rocks you to the core

But the pain of striking out

Isn't enough to stop me from trying again

Call me insane

Me and my injured brain

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”- Neitzsche

Life is supposed to be a magical ride

I wear my scars with pride

Those who enjoy the journey won't concentrate too much on the destination. They will get where they are going eventually and have a good time along the way. The trip will seem shorter too. In life, the destination for all of us is a dried out husk and a hole in the ground. Here's to enjoying the journey!
